* Study Webs of Active –Learning for Young Aspiring Minds (SWAYAM) is programme of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. Faculty members of centrally funded institutions like IITs, IIMs, central universities offer online courses to citizens of India through SWAYAM.SWAYAM is designed to achieve the three cardinal principles of Education Policy viz., access, equity and quality. The objective of this effort is to take the best teaching learning resources to all, including the most disadvantaged. The courses hosted on SWAYAM contains (a) video lecture, (b) specially prepared reading material that can be downloaded/printed (c) self-assessment tests through tests and quizzes and (d) an online discussion forum for clearing the doubts. Courses delivered through SWAYAM are available free of cost to the learners, however students wanting certifications shall be registered, shall be offered a certificate on successful completion of the course, with a little fee.

* e-PG Pathshala is an MHRD project under the National Mission on Education through ICT (NME-ICT) for development of e-content in 77 subjects at postgraduate level. It is managed by INFLIBNET Centre.

* National Virtual Library of India (NVLI) is to facilitate a comprehensive database on digital resources on information about India and on information generated in India, in an open access environment.

* National Digital Library (NDL) is a project under Ministry of Human Resource Development under its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology to develop a framework of virtual repository of learning resources with a single-window search facility. It is being developed at IIT Kharagpur.
